*insert huge grin here*
*insert slightly less huge grin due to sunburn on the first day of the holidays*
japanese was pretty good, the listening was icky though, and my writing wasn't overly complex. but oh well. DONE. and then i went to james' and marvelled at his huge computer and had much fun. i made him stay awake until midnight :)
6 months.
also: Tim's bbq was entertaining, aside from the previously mentioned sunburn [much pain], as was chezza's. i've never eaten rice balls at a bbq before...
hmm, soooo... only packing to do tomorrow and off to melbourne on friday. shall be awesome fun. as will sunday onwards :D

i bought stuff for schoolies today, jeans, pajamas, shorts... plus a beach bag big enough to fit a small child. none of the bags i own could fit a towel in properly, bar one which i don't want to wreck. and i do need a bag... i'm not juggling stuff... my coordination sucks. so yes, i now own a beach bag, i've always wanted a beach bag... maybe because owning a beach bag implies you get to go to the beach a lot, something i've never been able to do. just whine at your parents... "but i've got a beach bag!", the perfect argument for getting them to play taxi on a hot day. my bag shall also be very useful if i ever decide to go into child trafficking as well, bargain!
i also bought a hat, it's pretty much awesome... it's black and funny looking and so big it shades my shoulders too. 49 cm across, i measured. i love it :P heheh...
i'm not going to get much time next week to pack, so i'm attempting to get organised now :)
monday, tuesday, wednesday are full all day and night, as well as friday and half of saturday. sigh. shall be fun though - hectic, but fun. and i have to vote at some stage on saturday too, thank god voting is only 300m or so from my house.
on another note, i drove for over an hour and a half today. go me :) to traralgon and back and then midvalley and back. *cheesy grin here* to midvalley was in the territory. god it's annoying to drive after mum's car. they're complete opposites. flipped indicators etc, which is easy enough - mum's car is european - one's manual and the other automatic, one's tiny and one's huge, the brake/accelerator are reeeeaaally touchy in dad's, and really... not, in mum's. the steering, ick, sharp in dad's and it keeps trying to centre itself which is really annoying, opposite in mum's... sigh. the size is what annoys me the most though, i keep thinking i've room to do things when i really don't. but oh well [/semi-rant]
oh and i had another of those exam things today. it was muchly nice/good. i think i did well :)
one left.

7 days until my first day of freedom :D
it's really getting rather exciting, i've so many things i want to do once all this is done... i've several series(es?) of anime to watch, a game to crack (which i've wanted to do all year), many movie marathons to watch, i want to redo my fruit characters [tim's seen them :) ], completely do over the background for my blog [i want to make it do interesting things with flash], i need to learn how to use flash... a cousin to visit - i shall turn up on her doorstep at some stage - a friend to stay with [i'll warn her], parties to attend, party/ies to organise, yet more friends to do things with, beaches to swim at, random excursions to be undertaken, preps to laugh at, an art gallery to sticky-beak at, things to buy, work, work and more work, pubbing to be completed with work-persons, shortbread to eat... shall be much fun. i also have a sword that i need to collect from tim (><) and the money nina owes me shall become her birthday present :P
but yes, mum asked me what i wanted for christmas from my family, i'm getting plates and other such stuff. i'll be moving out soon *gasps* and today mum was discussing an allowance [for food] for me next year. sigh, so much to do
on the topic of things to do i would like to point out how awesome eating shortbread is. it's one of my favourite things ever and it's just started appearing en masse :D nyummmmm...

half way through exams! *cheers* i've only vis com, chemistry and japanese to go (^^)
heheh... i started "studying" for vis com this afternoon, and japanese i'll start on friday.. possibly thursday afternoon. i have been working for chemistry though, 4 prac exams and quite a few pictures. so if anyone wants a diagram of the carbon or nitrogen cycle...? :P
on a completely unrelated note: i was looking for a photo on our year 12 dvd that i wanted to get a copy of... then i realised the damn things are only movies, and the only way to get the photo would be to take a photo of the computer screen. which is stupid. and looks funny. anyway, the point IS there's a photo of annie, dan and i lying on the grass in a triangle during orientation camp [random daze 2... i think] and it's a really nice photo and i'd love a copy... now who's is it? if it's you please own up :P or suggestions of who's it might be would help :D
but yes... i wish you could print-screen movies. sigh.
the lid of my pineapple juice also told me today that bees navigate by the sun... but i already knew that. so i suspect quite a few others did too, or assumed, or didn't care.
eggplants are ingratiatingly polite. yes, yes you DID need to know that
also, i have a sudden urge to weigh my pile of notes to be burnt... [5.4 kg]. sudden urges are silly, i had one to play the sims on saturday night but i didn't quite have the room so i spent ages clearing crap off my computer. it was quite productive really, i cleared 6GB without touching my music. however, by the time i was finished i couldn't be bothered playing it anymore. stupid transitory...ness. urge seems to be a word that goes with hormones, i'm going to blame them.
oh, and happy birthday to angelo [i know you don't read this but minor details :P]

Poetry isn't something i write very often, but i was looking through some of the stories/rambles/crap that i've written and i found one i wrote last year. i don't actually think it'll make any sense to anyone, but i'm interested in what people think it means [hence me posting it]. so please comment and i might even explain :P
and no, it doesn't have a name.
I saw your face across the crowd
The moment frozen within my head.
Hearts beating to unyielding loud
So solid the sense of hearing fled.
You smiled a smile I can't dismiss,
Happiness etched in mortal frame.
Simple pleasure caused unearthly bliss
A smile that I should love to claim.
Worries dropped upon the floor
Among the stamping feet they lay.
Unburdened spirit starts to soar
As sardine bodies slowly sway
World fades in, smile is gone
The uplifting memory to remain.
Back into reality the worries drawn
Unchained spirit yanks body's chain.

On September 12, Russians will celebrate the Day of Conception, a holiday that encourages couples to do the deed and give birth exactly nine months later on Russia's national day. Patriotic parents who do indeed have children on June 12 win cars, fridges, and money.

i just found my list of pretty words and, since i have nothing better to do - make that "lots better to do but nothing else i want to do" - here are my favourites. i was talking to james about english, or maybe just rambling at him... tis what made me think of them, i think i'll try to use some in my literature exam though (^^)
censorious ~ harshly critical
ignominiously ~ shamefully/disgracefully
unmitigated ~ not diminished in severity/intensity
ineffable ~ defying explanation
imbroglio ~ embarrassing misunderstanding or intricate and confusing situation
acerbic ~ harsh, as in acerbic tone
frisson ~ "almost pleasurable sensation of fright" as in - "a frisson of surprise shot through him"... strange, no? and yes they are getting weirder
lugubrious ~ excessively mournful
nascent ~ coming into existence
inchoate ~ imperfectly formed, to only half exist... like an inchoate idea
iniquitous ~ iniquity ~ absence of morals
snook ~ my personal [and entirely irrelevent] favourite - to place your thumb on your nose and wiggle your fingers
i'll end my dictionary there i think. real post may appear later.
